Black work

Black work

Fatiha Zemmouri’s black begins in the maternal sanctuary, in the cavern, in the blacksmith’s forge, in the alchemist’s cauldron, in the origin, the essential, the primitive, but it also reaches the dark of night, the dawn, fire, the last breath; a color for wounds and nourishment, for birth and successive deaths, a color integrated in this constant cycle, uninterrupted, unhurried but relentless.
